Learn About Our Tailor

Mr. Joseph Chasnoff founded the Chasnoff Custom Clothing and Shirt Making in September of 1987 and has been a name synonymous with exceptional service and integrity in Austin, Texas, and throughout the nation ever since. After serving honorably in the United States Army, Joe graduated from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas in 1958. He then served in the United States Air Force Civil Air Patrol as a Senior Captain.

He is a certified member of the Custom Tailors & Design Association of America (CDTA) and has been schooled by the finest old world tailors in New York and around the country. Prior to founding Chasnoff Custom Clothiers, Joe held the position of proprietor of Michaels Men's Wear and Chasnoff Ltd., from 1961 to 1986.

His suppliers include Gladson Ltd., Loro Piana, Zena, Platinum, as well as the very best, Vitale Barberis Canonico featuring "REVENGE VI". We currently operate out of Capra & Cavelli and are authorized to sell their full line of clothing, ties, and shoes.

Joe caters to a very high level of clientele. In the past, we have worked with Governor Rick Perry, the chancellor of University of Texas at Austin (UT), Mark Yudoff, Coach Mack Brown and the entire coaching staff of UT. Many of the top attorney's, physicians, and business people also use our services for the finest custom tailored garments available to you from Austin all the way to New York City. While we primarily focus on menswear, we also provide our tailoring services for women.
